YOUR NEXT DEMO STARTS HERE

Choose your platform.
Make room for your demo.

Install Demo Room, then import the example library or build a setup of your own.

The Windows package is x64. Windows 11 on ARM can run x64 applications using its built-in emulation support.

A setup that works beyond one presentationPersistent setups/Repeatable demos/Easy sharing

THE IDEA IS SIMPLE

Your setup, saved.
Your next demo, ready.

Save the scenario, give each role its websites, and return to the same structure for the next walkthrough.

01 — DEMOS

Give your story a home.

A demo is a named setup saved in your library. Keep your scenarios organized and searchable, ready to reopen for the next presentation.

02 — PERSONAS

Make room for every role.

Add a persona for each perspective. Names and colors help you recognize roles; separate website sessions keep their sign-ins apart.

03 — SITES

Put the right tabs in place.

Save the websites for each persona. Open a single site, launch a whole role, or bring the demo together in a browser window.

BUILT AROUND THE DEMONSTRATION

Less tab juggling.
More showing.

01 / PERSONAS

One site.
More than one perspective.

Present an administrator’s view, then show what a team member sees. Each demo and persona has its own website storage session.

The real persona editor, with NASA and ESA saved sites.

Persona separation applies to website data. It does not create separate computers, network identities, or operating-system accounts.

02

Persistent setups

Your saved demo structure, personas, and websites stay in the library between presentations. Reopen a familiar setup or duplicate it for a new scenario.

03

Repeat your walkthrough

Open one site, launch a persona, or auto load all personas. Switch back to a saved site’s existing tab when it’s already open.

04

Refresh on your terms

Set background auto-refresh per site and pause it for a demo. Website policies still determine how long a login lasts.

05

Give colleagues a head start

Export one demo or your whole library, then share the file with a colleague. They can import the prepared personas and websites instead of rebuilding the setup.

PREPARE ONCE. GIVE THE TEAM A HEAD START.

A repeatable demo.
A shareable setup.

Pass a prepared scenario to a colleague so they can spend less time assembling tabs and more time learning the walkthrough.

01 — EXPORT

Package the setup.

Choose Back up (.json) for one demo, or Back up all demos for the library. The portable file carries the demo structure, personas, and saved sites.

02 — SHARE & IMPORT

Skip the rebuild.

Share that file with a colleague. In their copy of Demo Room, they choose Import and select it to add the prepared setup to their library.

03 — SIGN IN & REHEARSE

Make it their own.

Your colleague signs in with their own accounts, checks access to the sites, and rehearses the walkthrough. They can adapt their imported copy for their audience.

KEEP YOUR BROWSING CONTEXTS APART

Separate sessions.
Less cookie crossover.

Useful beyond a presentation: give personal browsing, work, and research their own personas.

The Social & communities example, open in the actual browser.

Give each context its own cookie jar.

Cookies and other website storage can carry identifiers used to recognize you across visits. Demo Room keeps that stored website data separate between personas, so one persona does not simply inherit another persona’s cookies.

For example, keep social browsing in one persona and unrelated research in another. This can reduce tracking that depends on reusing the same stored identifiers across those contexts.

The boundary matters

Tabs inside the same persona share its website-data context. Separate personas do not hide your IP address, prevent browser fingerprinting, block every tracker, or stop services from linking activity when you sign in to the same account. Demo Room is not an ad blocker or an anonymity service.

Try sharing in practice: import this prepared library instead of building each setup yourself. These are the examples shown in the screenshots. Each demo has three personas, with two saved websites per persona. Download the file, open Import in Demo Room, choose the file, and confirm. Leave Replace demos with matching names unchecked to keep existing demos.

Auto load is off in every example. Launch a role or open an individual site when you’re ready. Some websites require an account or subscription for certain features. The library includes setup only; no credentials, cookies, or signed-in sessions.

A FEW GOOD QUESTIONS

Know your room.

What makes a demo persistent and repeatable?

The saved demo structure, personas, and website addresses stay in your library for later walkthroughs. You can reopen the setup without assembling it again. This does not freeze website content or guarantee that logins remain valid; check your accounts and starting pages before presenting.

Can I share a demo setup with colleagues?

Yes. Export a demo or your entire library as a JSON backup and share the file. A colleague imports it into their copy of Demo Room, then signs in with their own accounts. The setup transfers; passwords, cookies, and signed-in sessions do not. Each imported copy can be edited independently.

Which platforms is Demo Room available for?

The current macOS installer is for Apple Silicon. The Windows x64 installer is used on Intel/AMD PCs and Windows 11 on ARM, where Windows provides x64 emulation. The screenshots show the real macOS app in the selected light or dark theme. See the downloads for package details.

Does Demo Room stop social media and ad tracking?

Separate personas keep their cookies and other website storage apart. This can reduce tracking that depends on shared stored identifiers between personas. It does not block every tracker or advertisement. Sites within one persona share its data context, and IP addresses, fingerprinting, shared account logins, and server-side data sharing can still connect activity.

Is Demo Room a browser or an extension?

This guide covers Demo Room Browser, a standalone application built on Chromium. It combines browsing with a library of demos, personas, and saved sites.

What is the difference between a demo and a persona?

A demo is the overall scenario, such as customer onboarding. A persona is one role inside it, such as administrator or team member. Each persona has its own saved sites and website session.

Can I use the same website with different accounts?

Yes. Add the website to separate personas, open it within each role, and sign in with the corresponding account. Persona sessions separate website storage. Network-level and operating-system authentication are outside that boundary.

Do backups include passwords or signed-in sessions?

No. JSON backups contain setup information such as personas, sites, tab titles, pinning, bookmarks, notes, and settings. Passwords, cookies, and login sessions are excluded. Sign in again after transferring the setup.

Does closing a role sign me out?

Close role closes its open tabs and keeps the saved setup and session. Clear session closes the role’s tabs and clears its login data while keeping the setup. A website may still expire a login under its own policies.

Will auto-refresh keep me signed in?

It can refresh configured sites while their tabs are in the background, but it cannot guarantee a persistent login. The website’s timeout, authentication, and access policies still apply.

Where can I download Demo Room?

Choose your platform in the download section. The installer downloads directly from this site; no GitHub account or sign-in is needed. You can also download the 10-demo example library and import it after installing.
